ring!!!
the alarm goes off and we all get up from our desks to switch classes
i stand and collect my books and pens
i shove it all into my bag and walk for the door
as we leave, the teacher calls out the home work
"read and take notes on chapters three and four
i grab a pen from my bad and scribble it on to my hand
i open the door with my foot and push threw it
i join the crowd in the hall way and head to my locker
as i was coming around the corner a voice came over the loud speaker
it was not the principals or the secretaries or the student who makes the announcements every mourning
it was someone who should not be speaking to the entire student body, it was someone i knew very well
"all students will report to the parking lot, all students will report to the parking lot."
i smiled and started giggling as i turned and started to run to the main exit
the other students also started filing out threw side exits and moving to the main entrance.
as i went threw the door i was stopped almost immediately by the mob of students
no one would go into the parking lot but instead the were filing in around the side walk
"excuse me."
i said again and again as i pushed my way to the front
when i arrived at the edge of the parking lot the sight that greeted me was incredible
the parking lot is used for teachers and students to leave their cars in during the day
now however all of the cars had been moved to the soccer and base ball fields
the lot itself was splattered with hundreds of cans of paint all organized so that amid all the splashes of color a huge heart was formed.
"you like it? i did it for you."
i felt his arms encircle my waste as he came up behind me
"its nice, i guess." i said as i turned in is embrace
i smiled and he leaned down to kiss me
but i turned my head slightly
until he straightened up again.
i pulled out of his grasp
and looked at him
his dark jeans were ripped on the left knees and frayed at the bottoms and the black band name shirt he wore was faded from use. his dark hair fell around his eyes and he smelled a bit like coffee
a blue paint smear ran along his cheek bone
his cocky smile had started to fade
i bit my lip for a moment
"you can't fix it that quickly. its a good start tho, keep trying." i said and started to move passed him.
"i will." he said as he cought my hand and kissed it
i looked back and raised by eyebrows shortly
then turned and walked inside.

kings love queens no matter how you twist the story

once upon a time
there was a serving maid
and she had a way
of falling in love with kings
the only problem was
she was just a serving maid
and kings
love queens

2.08.2009

would you have loved her?

there once was a little girl
she had bleach blond hair
and clear blue eyes
blue like the sky

you should have heard her laugh
it was so beautiful
it was so innocent
it made butterflies sing
it made wind dance

you should have seen her smile
like she owned the world
it made the moon shine
it made the stars whisper

would you have crushed her then?
would you have been so eager?
if you had known the girl,
if you had watched her twirl.
if you had seen her dance to soundless music
if you had heard her crys of delight

would you have thought twice?
would you have looked again?
would you have changed you mind?
would you have tried to make her smile again?
if you had known the girl,
before the world crushed the blue out of her eyes.

just a story

the girl with purple hair stands in her skinny jeans
and tight black t-shirt
stands on the side lines
it would just be too much to dance alone
but her friends convinced her to come so now she is here
alone
but here
she watches the tangled mosh writhe in the middle of the room
and she is actually happy that she stands on the outside
hers friends beckon her to join
but she smiles and shakes her head
she is being watched
and she knows it
he stands over there
with one of his friends
he has been dancing on the outside of the crowd
but he was always watching her
his dark hair
has fallen into his hazel eyes
his skin is still white and smooth despite the heat
she decides to leave the room
and see what he'll stare at next
she turns slowly and brushes back her hair
her purple hair reflects strangely in the black lights
but it goes well with her strikingly green eyes
she walks towards the door mockingly
as if daring him to fallow
he does
as she glances back she sees him wave off his friend and pull away from the mass
another girl
one in a too-short white dress that glows in the lighting
stops in front of him
in effort to get his attention
"i'm sorry."he says, annoyed
and quickly pushes on
he has eyes only for the cocky girl
the one with the strange smile that he saw in her eyes
she left the room and he can no longer see her
so he quickens his pace.
she slipped out the back door
the one only for emergency exits
he is pretty sure it must have triggered some kind of alarm.
but he is to intent on his pursuit to care
he pushes the heavy metal door open
it clicks softly and he is hit by an onslaught of city
the air is freezing
and the lights are too bright after the dark club atmosphere
is takes a second for his eyes to adjust
the screech of car breaks, the honking of horns, and laughter from the passer by fill the night
he looks up, but as usual the stars are masked by the endless flow of smog across the sky
when he looked back, he saw her
she was sitting on the steps to some building with her legs stretched out on the sidewalk.
she had her face upturned like she was looking at the sky but her eyes were closed.
she had heard him come out
his sudden gasp at the chill in the air
it was cold and she was shivering through her thin tee-shirt
she was whispering a song to herself
but she stopped and smiled
he was sitting next to her now
she could feel the heat coming off his body
it felt good on her cold skin
the cold air was starting to hurt her lungs and she stood up
she walked to the edge of the street
the cars were dancing by
as if they were all heading to some lovely place of freedom
only to be denied entry by the constant red lights.
she was counting the seconds between each car
timing it just right
and when the next car, a yellow taxi, passed by her
she sprinted
she stopped when she was standing on the yellow lines that ran between the streets
she was tired and the cold was stinging her eyes
they started to water and the light form headlights and neon store signs started blurring together
she suddenly felt dizzy and started swaying
but he held her in place
he had watched her twirl through the traffic and stand on the yellow lines
he had watched her eyes water and he had watched as her tears hit the pavement
when she had started swaying
he had crossed to her and took her in his arms
now he could feel her shivering in his grasp
when he had first held her she was surprised
but then she was grateful for the warmth and moved her body to fit his
she smiled and pressed herself against him
when she had pressed closer he had picked her up slightly
and put her feel on top of his
now he started dancing her around, the two went completely unnoticed by the passing cars
she sighed contently
he bent down and whispered to her in mid swing
"i though i would never see you again."
the suddenness of his voice surprised her
she pulled back to look at his face
her eyebrows came together and she cocked her head to the side
but she relaxed into his arms again and spoke softly
"i knew you would"
"are you going to leave again?"
she didn't answer
she just let the city fill the silence
and she thought
it would never happen
she new it wouldn't
it might start right
but she would never forget the first time
she shifted out of his grasp
she had timed it perfectly
the black car the she had come in was approaching steadily
and the light they were standing next to was just turning green
she stepped back and grabbed the base of the back wind shield wiper
the car slowed down slightly and she pulled herself onto the roof
she sat down with her legs dangling off the edge and looked at him
he started running down the street after her.
so many questions popped into his mind
but he only had a few more moments before they crossed the next intersection.
so instead he stopped running
her purple hair was dancing around her face
and her green eyes flashed
her saw her whisper something
and the wind carried her words to him
"i will always love you."
she had not meant to leave the first time
and as she watched him stand there his black jacket being pulled by the slipstreams
she wondered if she would regret leaving again
but she turned and as she slipped through the skylight he blew her a kiss
through the open skylight he herd the lyrics to the song that was playing
"when everything's made to be broken, i just want you to know who i am."
